J&L Specialty Folder Gluer Leads US Market
The
timeless design of Alliance Machine Systems International’s
J&L Specialty (multipoint) Folder Gluer makes it the clear leader
in the US market. The J&L is gaining market share in Europe
where large boxes, complex designs and structural integrity are
key factors in box design. Open architecture and individually controlled
servo drives combine to give the J&L blank control and flexibility
far beyond that of its competition.
Fast set-ups and high productivity are critical to
the success of any finishing machine in the corrugated industry.
These are core strengths of the J&L. As the market moves toward
more complex designs, the strengths of the J&L will help meet
new and ever-increasing demands.
Five years ago specialty boxes referred to glued lock
bottoms (3 point) and glued trays (4 point). It seems every plant
now has that capability and “specialty boxes” no longer
refer to 3 and 4 point gluing of lock bottoms and trays. “Specialty
boxes” now include 20+ lines of glue, complex folds and the
application of non-corrugated elements to the container.
The J&L offers a large number of options that
increase flexibility such as a new high speed, 2-piece box option
and glue detection systems. Capable of running board grades ranging
from 18 point to triple wall and with machine widths from 80”
(2m) to 170” (4.3m), the J&L offers the flexibility required
in today’s market. Also, the Pacmaster Unloader allows counting
bundles and strapping the boxes automatically. These features and
many others put the J&L Specialty Folder Gluer on the cutting
edge of technology which allows owners to create complex, demanding
boxes, while ensuring a low cost of ownership.
