2003-2004 Business report
Mark Duchesne reports, “In the past year, we showed significant
gains over 2002. We worked hard to introduce new procedures, boost
efficiency and deliver timely, high-quality products and services
throughout the world. We remain committed to our goal to add value
and ingenuity to our products, while enhancing customer efficiency
and productivity. In 2004, we will continue to build on the positives
of 2003. Although the broader economy is expected to continue on
a positive trend in 2004, we operate in a market and era characterized
by strong global competition and ever-present demand for improved
performance. To give our customers a competitive advantage in the
2004 marketplace, we will continue to invest in our existing products
as we develop new and innovative paperboard packaging and material
handling systems.
Our New Generation, high-speed, fully automatic, rotary die cut
ACCUSTAK continues to see successful installations, with some of
the most recent on High Board Line finishing machines. Because the
set-up time on the ACCUSTAK is so fast, it compliments the quick
change over time on the High Board Line machines. For plants that
have short run orders, it makes a winning combination.
We continue to offer the Folder Gluer market increased flexibility
with the ‘I’ Series J&L Specialty Folder Gluer.
State of the art updates to the drives and controls have yielded
advancements in both simplicity and speed, providing faster set-ups,
better blank control and higher run rates.
Our Automatic Robotic Loadforming (ALF ™) installations continue
to grow. With the advanced technology employed, a complete flexo
line can now operate, fully automatic, with a one-man crew. Watch
for additional announcements on this product line in 2004.
