2002-2003 Business report
Mark Duchesne, President and CEO, reports “2002 was a year
of mixed results. World wide our business was good with some areas
doing better than others. Economic conditions continue to affect
our customers to whom we supply automated material handling equipment
and specialty folder gluers.”
“ In 2002 we continued to invest in research and development,
even with the softness in the market. The New Generation ACCUSTAK,
which is a high-speed fully automatic rotary die cut stacker, was
introduced with great success. The market has showed us the CUBIX
Counter Ejector is the preferred choice for new and retrofit applications.
We completed a major installation in Southern California of our
Automatic Robotic Loadforming System. The project involved several
units and the results have been very positive.”
“Our goal is to add value and ingenuity to our products, enhancing
customer efficiency and customer productivity. With this in mind,
in 2003 the industry will see more improved Robotic technology,
a 38” CUBIX counter ejector and a New “I” Series
J&L Folder Gluer.”
“ We are optimistic about 2003. Following the industry consolidations
of the past few years, we feel companies are now more focused on
improving productivity. Our hope is the economy will continue to
improve and that more buying decisions will be made this year. Our
equipment offers increased productivity, quick return on investment,
labor savings, and decreased plant injuries, making it easier for
companies to justify capital expenditure.”
